I have been wasting time on this blog for over a year now. I was under the assumption that I was doing this for my own amusement ( easy to do ). Anyone actually stopping to read this embarrassment to journalism, really does need to get out and ride there bike more! So imagine my surprise when on my last few posts, I started getting "comments". Somebody out there in cyberspace is interested in what I'm doing and has taken the time and shown great courtesy in responding. If I had an ego (lost it years ago in a crit somewhere) it might have grown a tad. But then I read these comments, and who they were from. It seems my very own teammates are the culprits of these slanderous statements. It looks as if it is there belief that my path of off season training is lacking in intensity. My no show at the Friday night roller sessions in some way will affect my performance come the July sprint fests at our Tuesday night world championships! They are questioning my team spirit due to my no show at any of the roller races. At this time, all I can do is assure them that my fitness is on track (a slow one). Also I do plan to show the team colors at some of the early season races. Even if these colors are YELLOW and BLACK just like almost every other Iowa team out there!!!! So even though I haven't driven 6 hours round trip to race 7 minutes on rollers, don't count me out yet! I just might surprise you on that first stop sign sprint...... Ty

Stop!!!! your killing me out here. it may only be 7 min??? that's slow. Maybe could do that time if they took my man pants away. Anyway its the training to before and after the race that counts. It is gearing up to be a faster year then last. Chad has stepped it up causing me to do the same. Greg has a new bike so I know he will be riding us into the pavement with all his experience. Can't wait winter sucks and I'm ready to go. Joe Mann nad I have joined the big dogs and have over 800 miles so far Joe at 900. Thye want us to do RAIN sounds like fun more long distance stuff. We expect you to be at more tuesdauy nights training rides and we are also training on Thursdays. Can't sait to show the new uniforms. Speed baby see you soon. Keep the rubber side down and skin side up.

Jerseys... Yes, the new 'bikes to you' team has yellow and black jerseys, but I hadn't seen theirs prior to creating the design. Two bee's are mostly black with yellow accents, otherwise, I am not aware of any other jerseys that are yellow and black but can say that all of the iowa color schemes have overlap... Dice and bike tech are both red and black, ICCC and Atlas are both blue, etc. There was a big push from a safety perspective, to be in a highly visible color, and orange didn't seem to work.
Don't let wiford get you all riled up, but I agree that it is fun to have numbers at races, and on training rides, because it makes us all stronger.
