VILLAGE C/X RACE

The first C/X racing of the year for the izzy team went great! Tommy went out and rode his first c/x race EVER at 9 yrs old and had a great time. I was worried about the weight of his bike over the barriers, but he handled it great. He didn't quit and rode to the finish, which was the main goal for race 1.
Then I lined up in the cat4 race with 19 other riders. After a week of hacking and blowing my nose, I wasn't sure what I would have in the tank. Got a good start, and stayed there for half of the first lap. shuffled around in the 5-6-7 spot all mid race, last lap popped a little and finished up 7th place. But all the weeks events considered, i'm happy with a top ten to start out the season.
Zuggy and his crew once again put on a great race, and had a wonderful day to show off a challenging course. They even sent some shwag to our house that my son had won and forgot to pick up!!!! Above and beyond, nice job guys.
Next week is Newton, and the family and I are taking the camper out and racing both days. Hope to see everyone there. Ty
