Dedication, "And The Pain That Comes With"


I have an addiction for soda! Diet, regular, name brand, generic, take your pick. My drug of choice is Diet Mt. Dew. I can drink it with everything and at any time of the day. I know it's not the worst crutch to have, but as much as I drink a day it's not that healthy either. As my training for the cross season has increased, my desire to not be the FAT dude a lap down has also increased. Last weekend I did a 2 day "on the wagon" test. Before this test, my weight loss had hit a wall. After a weekend soda free, I was amazed at a 5 lb weight loss. I am happy to say that I have now been carbonation free for a full week! I'm not sure that I will truly be able to go cold turkey, but I haven't caved yet. The one thing I do know is that on Sept. 23rd, the day of the first cross race of the season, if I finish second to last place, you can find me in the parking lot slamming a six pack!!! Ty
