New Years Day Ride

Met at G-mans house at 9:30 to ride out to Steve Lees' place and meet everyone for the first ride of the new year. A late morning show is usually not a big deal. But the planets aligned and my wife and I actually found a babysitter, so we partied like it was 1999!!!!

Unloading the bike I was wondering if I would even make it to the start of the ride. A stiff northwest head wind all the way to Steve's did wonders to sober me up and I was ready to go.

A good mix of riders showed up. Riding all sorts of rides. Mt. bikes, road bikes, single speeds, even Greg on a fixie.

Spirits were good and the sun made a showing. There was talk of the future summer rides, milage goals, and fitness levels. The pace was easy, making it easy to move around the pack and talk to everyone.

After around 20 miles, we were back at the Lee house where there was a great spread of food and spirits. (I passed on the spirits)!
